Somewhere In Dreamland
Relive the glory days of the golden age of animation with this collection of 33 unforgettable Technicolor cartoons from the legendary Fleischer brothers. Includes the classic Betty Boop short Poor Cinderella (1934), the Academy Award-nominated Educated Fish (1937) and Hunky and Spunky (1938), the Grampy favorite Christmas Comes But Once a Year (1936), and more. 4 1/2 hrs. on two discs.
 
Hoppity Goes To Town (1941)
The second – and final – feature to come out of Max and Dave Fleischer's animation studio was this look at a community of insects whose city garden home is threatened, and how a plucky grasshopper named Hoppity saves the day and wins the heart of a bee named Honey. aka: Mr. Bug Goes to Town. 78 min.
 
Gulliver's Travels (1939)
The Fleischer Studio's animated rendition of Jonathan Swift's novel follows the adventures of the traveller who washes up on the shore of the island of Lilliput, whose inhabitants are one inch tall. After a frightening first impression, Gulliver helps the tiny populace resolve a feud that has interrupted the wedding of Prince David and Princess Glory. This special video version with fully restored color and sound also includes a documentary on the Fleischer Studio, previews, and the Gabby shorts King for a Day and Swing Cleaning. 110 min.
Popeye The Sailor, Vol. 1 (1933-1938)
Showcasing an array of the spinach-devouring hero's greatest exploits, this four-disc compilation of 60 classic Popeye theatrical shorts produced by the Fleischer Studios includes his silver screen debut in Popeye the Sailor (1933), Strong to the Finich (1934), King of the Mardi Gras (1935), the Academy Award-nominated Popeye the Sailor Meets Sinbad the Sailor (1936), My Artistical Temperature (1937), Lost and Foundry (1937), Learn Polikeness (1938), and more. 9 1/3 hrs. total.
